Start With What You Actually Have

Most people wait for the perfect moment to start putting money aside. But here's what I've noticed after years helping folks in Dublin – that moment never quite arrives. You've got bills coming in, life happening, and the idea of becoming an investor feels miles away.

We're here to change that conversation. No jargon, no minimum portfolio sizes, no pretending you need a finance degree.

Three Things That Actually Matter

Forget the flashy promises. These are the foundations that make a real difference when you're starting out.

Time Beats Timing

Everyone wants to know when to start. The honest answer? Probably last year. But the second best time is now. Even small amounts grow when you give them years to work.

Simple Usually Wins

Complex strategies look impressive in presentations. But most beginners do better with straightforward approaches they can stick with during rough patches – and there will be rough patches.

Questions Are Good

The financial world loves making things sound complicated. We think asking "what does that actually mean?" is the smartest thing you can do. Never feel embarrassed about wanting clarity.

Why We Do This Differently

I started Lruskep in 2019 after watching too many friends avoid investing because they felt it wasn't for them. They thought you needed thousands upfront or some insider knowledge.

That's rubbish. What you need is someone who explains things in plain English and doesn't make you feel daft for asking basic questions.

Our approach centers on education first. We'd rather you understand what you're doing and why, even if it means taking longer to make decisions.

Based in Dublin, we work with people across Ireland who are curious about building wealth but intimidated by the process. Your background doesn't matter. Your current bank balance doesn't matter. What matters is that you're willing to learn.

How We Work Together

No two people have identical situations. But there's a general path that works for most beginners getting serious about investing.

1

Figure Out Where You Stand

Before anything else, we need an honest look at your money. Not to judge – just to understand. How much comes in, what goes out, what's left over. This tells us what's realistic for you right now.

2

Build Your Safety Net First

Investing before you have emergency savings is like building a house without a foundation. We help you sort this out first – usually three to six months of expenses somewhere accessible.

3

Start Small and Learn

Your first investment should teach you something, not terrify you. We typically suggest starting with amounts that won't keep you up at night. You can always add more once you see how things work.

4

Review and Adjust

Markets move. Your life changes. We check in regularly – not to panic over every fluctuation, but to make sure your strategy still fits your situation and goals.

Teacher, Cork

I'd been thinking about investing for years but kept putting it off because I didn't know where to begin. The first conversation with Lruskep was different – no pressure, just someone explaining things like I was a real person instead of a potential commission.

What surprised me most was how they focused on my questions rather than pushing products. I expected to feel overwhelmed, but I actually left our first meeting feeling like I understood what I was doing for once.
